Vine work
We follow the practices of vine in organic farming :
- The hedges are maintained in order to ensure the life of the ecosystems and to spray less
- The land is worked to be ventilated and to favour the life of microorganisms. They are necessary for the vine's nutrition. Therefore, the plant has all the means to express itself in producing its grapes and protecting from parasite
- A worked row and grassy row to master the vine's growth
- A "double guyot" prune is used to guarantee a good spreading of the grapes in the row
The grape is scrutinized along its growth.
From the month of july, a first clearing up is done in order to leave only 8 grapes per vine stock.
In August, when the grapes' colour has changed, a new selection is done to eliminate the immature grapes; just before the harvest, a final sorting is performed in order to leave only the perfect grapes.
